Natural organic substances program

The program is developed in an average level and allows participating the students with basics in Organic chemistry. Both Master and Bachelor students are welcome. The knowledge of the specific modules on Chemistry of natural substances is not required.
The goal of the course is to describe and to demonstrate several interesting classes of natural organic substances. Expected classes are: carotenoids, anthocyanins, fats, flavonoids, humic substances, cobalamines etc. The description will generally include the extraction from plants, possibility of synthesis, specific properties, characterization, and application.

Cost of participation

The participation fee covers:
training course, teaching materials, accomodation (only in Belgorod), food, internet access, cultural program, airport transfers. All options are available ONLY in Belgorod
Teaching staff
Our Teaching Staff are dedicated and experienced professionals in the field of natural organic compounds. All our teachers have been carefully selected because of their ability to inspire and motivate the students in their interest in the subject. Lectures will be given by professors and associated professors of BelSU. Several invited lectures of prominent Russian scientists from leading universities are also included in the program.

Cultural program
The excursion program includes
visiting the Belgorod state local history museum
the M.S. Schepkin historical theater museum
visiting the underground monastery with its mysterious caves near the village of Kholki (this monastery was founded by the monk Guelasiy in 1620)
visiting small rural communities and experiencing elements of traditional life in those communities
visiting Moscow
